Snowpocalypse 2011

We got a bit of snow and a healthy coating of ice here in Atlanta.  It sure looked pretty, but it was a bit tough to move around in.  With temps staying below freezing pretty much all week, there has been little chance for the road conditions to improve.  Schools are closed for the fourth day in a row tomorrow.

We tried to get Parker Rose out in it, but it was just a bit to slippery and crunchy for her to walk.  Here are  some videos of the attempt.

First we have the waiting while everyone gets bundled up.  Parker Rose is ready to go and draws a bit before we go:

Now here is some attempted walking.  As you can hear we sprung for some special effects people to dub in ridiculously loud ice-crunching noises:

Here we are in our back yard.  Parker sees a friend in the upstairs window.  Listen for PR to salute her:

Of course, we didn’t content ourselves with video.  Here are a few photos as well (click to enlarge each – it’s worth it):

It's a long way across Antarctica

Steady as she goes

How about a close up?

Sweet look between baby and mama

Mama's turn to help

Sometimes you fall. No worries.
